Khabar TV (Bureau): Plastic Bad for Health: Using plastic items has become a very common thing. We bring vegetables from the market in plastic foil and keep spices in plastic containers at home.
Not only this, some people even drink water from plastic bottles. But do you know how harmful drinking water from a plastic bottle can be for your health? If not, then let’s know.
According to an article published in the New York Post, a recent study shows that drinking water from a plastic bottle can cause you to have high blood pressure. This study was conducted at Danube Private University in Austria.
How plastic increases BP –
This study revealed that when water is drunk from a plastic bottle, small plastic particles get mixed in the water and then enter our body through water.
These plastic particles are called microplastics. They enter our body and enter the bloodstream and by staying in the blood for a long time, they increase our BP.
The university conducted a research on some people in which they forbade some people to drink water from plastic bottles for a week. After a week, it was seen that those who did not drink water from the bottle had lower blood pressure than those who drank water from plastic bottles.
Risk of cancer and heart disease –
A few years ago, a scientist claimed that about 5 grams of microplastic enters the human body in a week. Which is extremely dangerous for health. This not only increases BP but also increases the risk of heart problems and cancer.
